New technology is use in the city to monitor drivers

The urban of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is going to implant a recognition technology towards licence plate, the purpose is to monitor drivers, this new technology system is going to replace the old duties of polices on street to tighten parking rules. The technology is able to scan liscese plates while drivers are driving on the urban streets and even monitor how long a car parked at a parking area within the permitted time. Mayor Ron Yuryevich (2012) mentioned it is ithe first time the Western Australian's local government implemented the technology, and even, it will notice the driver if their car is driven by others, yet at the same time, it will show a GPS position and keep track the car liscence plate and then they return for their next drive in the condition the car has not drive away. Mayor claimed that this technology will be implement for the next three months.

Indeed, new technology has affects the way we communicate particularly among polices, communication is reduce gradually in the society and replaced by the advanced non-communicative technology. In this case, both traffic rules and the system will be more efficient and at the same time significantly reduce the cost in the urban. Actually, this technology do not raise benefits, but it will definitely aware public to know that the government has this technology to peek them over the streets if they break the traffic rules.

In my opinion, new technology is an extremely important tool in the latest society, especially monitor public drivers driving on roads or any streets. Every parking slot has its own specific time to allow the vehicles park at there, thereby overtime parking may cause full parking, restricting others vehicles from parking and even it is very unjust. Besides, polices have too many duties to go, this technology may ease their burden from writing traffic bills and even save up much of the police car fuel for government. And still, the most important is this technology may arise the public concern in traffic rules.

Three million software users hacked

One of the world’s biggest software companies is suggesting clients to change login details after a hack was exposed. Adobe is used in both offices at on home computers throughout the world and the details of about three million customers have been shared. The banks have been informed to limit credit card deception, expert say the origin of the hack could be some famous software programs will constant at risk for months to come. Tom Nightingale reports that with programs which are file readable, design documents and edit videos, PDF is the most pravelent software used in the worldwide.

Dam (1995) and Granstrand (1999) claimed that software liscen offers public to entitled the rights of legal to use software as long as they are paying the liscesing fee. Yet, most software is permitted instead of given as intellectual property. A software liscene usually is a ban to the computer software which can function on, the amount of software users and also the frequency used as backups. Therefore as an evidence, if we do not know PDF software is affected, but for the purpose of argument - how to express the fact like phising attacks which is uninvited spams and something like that, as long as a readable PDF is send and that is really easy to hack someone.

From my opinion, hacking is a very dangerous act of electronically invasion of someone's computer account or even software. It might be an act of stolen password or peek into someone else's privacy. But still, we can try our best to protect our privacy by creating longer passwords to secure our accounts, make sure there is no one else peeking at the keyboards when we are typing passwords, log out any accounts after using it and even for the best outcome, do not expose our passwords to anyone else.

Technology impact to children's brain

The technology age has ruled our world but what has it done to the developing brains of young children? The Australian Council on Children and the Media are holding a conference to discuss this question. Expert Dr Phillip Tam, a child and adolescent psychiatrist and also a psychiatry lecturer in University of Sydney, he joins in the discussion, he’s speaking here with Barney Porter about the question of how young is the age to begin approaching this technology and do young minds really developing as if they do.

Philip Tam claimed that it’s a very difficult question to be answer, as specialists and the experts still have not get the direct answer for so far. He guesses one way of searching it is that we are now living in a rapid pace media; the IT-dominated world thus we can’t now, if you would like to isolate the younger kids from it then he suggests it’s about under six years old according to the technology.

However, experts will look at the family backgrounds; mobile phones and tables and others. The main question is how young kids get them at a tender age, how to indoctrinate them and teach them using appropriately to avoid those addictive problems on later. Certainly, clinicians are now beginning to see an increase rate at a tender age.

Based on my perspectives, I think children who under 6 years old are not suitable being encourage in playing electronic games. Or else, they must have a limited time in contacting with technology under supervision, the best appropriate time to contact with electronic screen will be under 15 minutes, because technology has certainly proved to influenced children's brain negatively due to the radiation from electronic screen such as TV, computer screen and also electronic devices. Certainly, when children grow older, they are unavoidably have to contact with electronic stuffs like when they entering primary school they will be having computer lesson in school or a teen entering middle school, they will have their time in electronic entertainment such as playing computer games. Therefore, we can set every child age with a different time span from contact with technology as entertainment.

Journalism and Twitter

Today, new technology affects the way we communicate, most people used online version to read news instead of as opposed.Think about what is the relationship between 'Twitter' and 'Journalism' and imagine that in this advanced technology society, more than fifty percent of twitter accounts users don't tweet.

Try to imagine how many of them are journalists who randomly utilized the social medium as silent readers and to pursue story ideas? On the other hand, journalists and news publishers have long sought the excellent ways to generate involvement on Twitter and mostly make the every Tweet. Based on the rich research by the Platform and Analytics teams, they have created a series of perfect practices for journalists and newsrooms that can enhance you in the numbers of your followers as well as the involvement on Twitter. The team analyzed thousands of Tweets for more than 150 news brands and individual journalists throughout the world.
Specifically, they determining four certain areas of focus,

"Tweet your beat, use # hashtags for context, @ cite your sources, as well as share what you're reading."

Based on their research, there are a few ways journalists and news publishers may increase followers numbers and Twitter engagement.
  • Write content related to the beat on Twitter; live-tweet
  • Frequently use of hashtags for content and @cite the sources
  • Share what you're seeing with your Twitter followers
  • make full use of the Retweet button to curate

Based on my point of view, both Journalism and Twitter are highly interrelated as Twitter is a source where Journalism found their news. Journalists can write more news and attract more audience to their work in a fast pace. On the contrary, for twitter users, they will also find themselves miss a lot of news when they did not log into twitter. It is very important to stand in the shoes of editors, ask them about their point of view on Twitter impact on headlines, the ongoing topics or publishing problems around the news. At the meanwhile, the audience and sources are changing some old news basis as well.
